About Windy . . .
Windy is a 24 year old single mom of a precious 2 year old boy.
Windy and her son, Josiah, have already been through quite a bit in
his 2 short years of life. Born with webbed hands,
Josiah has gone through a total of 12 surgeries and faces more in
the future. But, before giving birth to Josiah, Windy lost a son to
SIDS at 3 months of age in 2003. Needless to say,
Windy knows
about heartache and personal challenges.
However, she also knows about
triumph and is dedicated to overcoming her obstacles.
Right now she is dependent on others for transportation as she
doesn't have a vehicle or a job. It is hard to work given the
medical issues her son faces. When asked what her dream job
was she stated she would "love to either be a lawyer or school
teacher working with pre-school or early childhood." But right
now, her focus in on getting a job to help make ends meet and being
the best mom to Josiah that she can.
While her personal challenges will take a lot of diligence and
perseverance, Windy admits that she can do is "just
do her best to get through them with help from her parents and God".
While Windy does have a faith and belief in God,
she desires to
have Him play a more major roll in her life.
Rest assured, the PHC is committed to helping her strengthen her
spiritual walk for as long as she allows.
To you, our faithful supporters, Windy says this,
"I appreciate
everyone so much for all that has been done for me and everybody
else that seeks the center for help. I hope you help many more
like me over the next generations. Thank you."
